Through It All

“If you are faithful with little, God will be able to trust you with more.” Rick Warren

May mga panahon na hindi tayo masaya dahil hindi natin nakuha ang gusto natin. But you must understand that before any promotion, there will always be tests and challenges. Kung maraming bagay ang nagiging dahilan para mainis ka, like traffic or kapitbahay na si Marites, it will always steal your joy because life knows how to annoy you. What you can do is to say: “Lord, hindi ko gusto itong nangyayari, but nananalig ako sa Iyo na ang mga ito ay for my advantage, for my good.” By having this mindset, you will grow better.

Egypt is about 613 kilometers from Israel, but it took Moses and the Israelites 40 years to travel that distance. On average, they walked 43 metres each day!Yes, 43 meters is almost half of what Usain Bolt could do in 5 seconds. I wish Moses was still alive so he could explain why people are so lazy! Ganito ang ilan sa atin. Marami sa atin tamad, ayaw kumilos, ayaw mag change ng pananaw sa buhay pero gusto naman yumaman at guminhawa.

Kapag napatunayan mo sa Lord na you can be faithful even when it’s easy to be unfaithful, pagkakatiwalaan ka pa lalo ng Lord na mas maraming favors because you became trustworthy through it all.

Ang isang malaking pagkakamali ng mga Israelites was that they failed the test God set up for them. Akala nila na iyong mga mga delays or prolonged journey was God being unkind. Marami silang reklamo kay Moises: “Why did you bring us here in the desert to die?” Wala namang makain dito!

Hindi nila alam na ang mga delays na iyon ay kelangan nila because the Israelites were not yet ready, they would have easily defeated by their enemies who are bigger and better. They thought that God has forgotten them by actually, God was doing them a favor and protecting them.

Don’t be like the Israelites and let the same things, people, traffic, and limitations upset you over and over again for the next 40 years. You must learn and grow through it all. Why don’t you change instead of waiting for it to change? Instead of trying to pray the problem away, why not pray, “God, help me to do the right thing in this problem?” Every problem is a chance to show God that you can handle the favor, the power, and the future that he has planned for you. It won’t come without putting your character, ethics, and strength to the test and showing that you can handle it.

When God can trust you not to get out of every uncomfortable situation but to do the right thing, take the high road, forgive your enemies, and not be bitter because you had a bad break or frustrated because your dream hasn’t come true, you show God that you can, in a way, take your throne, that you can handle the blessings and favours he has in store for you. You don’t get it, so it might be unfair. Don’t just get through it; use it to help you grow. Alam ng Diyos ang nangyayari. Alam Niya na nasasaktan ka. He can see what went wrong. He looks at the report. The story doesn’t end like that. That’s just one part of the story he’s writing for your life. There are a lot of great stories still to come.

Don’t fight every problem you have. Bago ka mag pray na baguhin ng Diyos ang nangyayari sa iyo, maybe you should say, “Lord, change me. Help me get better. Please help me get better. Help me believe in you more.” Those are chances to show God that you’re ready for the great things he has planned for you. You haven’t seen, heard, or even thought about where God is going to take you. So, when you face problems, it’s because God is getting you ready for something bigger. If you keep a good attitude and don’t just go through it, but also grow through it all, God will fight for you and bless you more than you can imagine.
