I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  2 Timothy 4:7-8 NIV

Sa Greece ay may palarong “torch relay” na lahat ng manlalaro ay may dalang torch (“sulo” in Filipino).  Ang sulo ay apoy at may hawakan upang madala ng bawat manlalaro. The key to winning is not just to arrive in the finish line but to maintain the fire in his torch burning. The athlete has to protect the torch against the wind and getting wet. Kahit marating ang finish line ngunit patay ang torch ay talo pa rin ang manlalaro na iyon kaya this game is popular and until now nakikita natin yan usually sa grand opening ng Olympic Games.

Binigyan tayo ng Panginoon Hesus the capacity to pursue our dreams and visions. But let me tell you this, the devil is not concerned when you start. But the moment you are near to the fulfillment of that dream, it calls the attention of the enemy to weaken you and distract you so you abort and abandon your dream. If you want it, get it!

Naniniwala ako that God gave us the “power engine” and the grace for us to finish what He has put in our hearts. Don’t die with all your gifts, dreams, talents, and abilities with you. Wag kang mabahala kapag may mga pagsubok. Tandaan mo na yan ay maaring mga senyales that you are doing something right. You will feel it. You will know it. Have persistence and activate your faith. Despite many trials and tests, keep your torch burning and never let the fire die down and maintain your zeal to finishing the race. Protect your passion to carry on in the midst of trials.

Make a decision to finish your race so when Jesus comes back, He will crown you and shall say: “Well done, my good and faithful servant…”
