Yes. I checked the current NHS recruitment position as of 8 August 2026. The Philippines is a green-list country for UK healthcare recruitment and has a formal UK–Philippines government-to-government agreement. The UK Code of Practice specifically confirms that recruitment of Filipino nurses to the NHS is permitted and should be undertaken ethically. (GOV.UK)

For nurses who are still in the Philippines
There is an important difference between a normal NHS Band 5 vacancy and an Internationally Educated Nurse recruitment programme.
For a Filipino nurse who does not yet have a UK NMC PIN, I would particularly look at Trusts with established international programmes that provide OSCE preparation and support after arrival.
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust / Royal Brompton & Harefield has a dedicated International Nurse Recruitment Programme specifically supporting overseas nurses while completing their OSCE. (Royal Brompton Trust)
Devon Partnership NHS Trust has one of the clearest overseas recruitment routes I found. It interviews international applicants remotely, issues Certificates of Sponsorship, assists with visas and flights, pays candidates at Band 4 before the OSCE, provides OSCE preparation, and moves successful nurses into registered mental-health nursing roles once they obtain their NMC PIN. (Devon Partnership NHS Trust)
University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) is particularly worth targeting. It already runs an international nurse recruitment programme and says it has recruited more than 300 overseas nurses since the programme began. It also has live Band 5 nursing vacancies accepting sponsorship right now. (University Hospitals of North Midlands)
East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust has a dedicated international nurse recruitment programme and directs international candidates to its current vacancies/recruitment team. (East Kent Hospitals NHS Trust)
Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust also operates an International Nurse Recruitment programme alongside its current nursing vacancies. (Salisbury NHS)
Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust has a dedicated International Recruitment Team for internationally trained nurses, including accommodation support and OSCE preparation. (Gateshead Health)
Your requirements section needs a slight correction
It is correct that Filipino nurses generally need to go through NMC registration, but “1–2 years’ nursing experience” is not a universal NMC requirement. Experience requirements vary according to the NHS vacancy and Trust.
For an internationally trained Filipino nurse, the NMC process includes assessment of the overseas qualification, English-language evidence and, where applicable, the Test of Competence – CBT and OSCE. The NMC currently accepts IELTS Academic or OET as English tests, although other permitted forms of English evidence can sometimes be used. (Nursing & Midwifery Council)
The current NMC English test scores are IELTS: Listening 7, Reading 7, Writing 6.5, Speaking 7, or OET: B, B, C+, B respectively. (Nursing & Midwifery Council)
For candidates required to take the Test of Competence, the NMC confirms that both CBT and OSCE must be passed, and the two parts must be passed within two years of each other. (Nursing & Midwifery Council)
For Filipino nurses who are currently in the Philippines and have not yet taken the OSCE, my first targets would be UHNM, Devon Partnership, Guy’s & St Thomas’/Royal Brompton & Harefield, East Kent, Gateshead and Salisbury, because they have established infrastructure for internationally educated nurses rather than merely offering visa sponsorship.
