What happens if you don’t apply ILR for your children the same time as you?

Children under 18 can apply for ILR if one or both of their parents have it. It doesn’t matter how long the child has been in the UK. Your children will need to apply for ILR at the same time as you if they are on dependent visas. If they don’t do this, they’ll lose their dependent visa status, and more importantly, they’ll have to wait five years before they can get ILR.
