Maraming debate at arguments ang nagaganap ngayon dahil sa katanungang ito: “Is Jesus God?”
Maraming nagsasabi na si Hesus daw ay isang mabuting tao, propeta or guro lamang ngunit hindi daw siya diyos. Did He really say, “I am God.” Some denominations and sects do not agree on this topic that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and that He is actually God Himself.
Some say Jesus Christ was just a man, or maybe a great teacher. But He was and is much more than that. The Bible says Jesus is unique in both His person and His purpose. He wasn’t just some spiritual individual during His time on earth; He was both the Son of God (John 3:16) and God Himself—God in human flesh (1 Timothy 3:16). Yes, He was fully man, but He was also fully God (Colossians 2:9).
Did Jesus ever say, ‘I am God’?
Pag may nagsabi ba sayo na, “I am God,” would you believe him? Kahit siguro sabihin na ni Hesus na “Ako Ay Diyos” pero marami ang hindi pa rin maniniwala. Yet, He did give us reasons to believe such a claim without using these words.
In Luke 4:8, Jesus says, “It is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.’” He said and showed many times that He is the Lord. Jesus says, for example, that He is “the first and the last” (Revelation 1:17, 22:13), which God the Father says in Isaiah 44:6.
Ako ay naniniwala na ang Panginoong Hesus ay Diyos and for that reason my faith is not in vain and I truly believe of His promise that He will take me to His paradise – the heaven for me to receive the eternal life. He clearly said that He is “THE” Way and no one gets to His Father, except through Him. There is no other way, except through the name of Jesus Christ – the Son of God. Indeed, He is God!
