I was studying for a degree in a university at Oxford, UK and I normally arrive very early from London. I went to a vending machine to buy a cup of coffee. I noticed that it’s been over a minute and it was just the cup which came out but no coffee! I was getting impatient but another minute that the machine started to make some noise and voila! the aroma of a freshly brewed coffee came out. I tasted it and it was very good. While I was heading back to my study table, I was wondering how many of us are getting impatient when God does not respond quick enough to our prayers?

Are we like that? Naiinip ka ba dahil akala mo nakalimutan ka ng Diyos? Ganyan din ang nangyari noong namatay si Lazarus in the book of John 11. But Jesus intentionally made it few days late because if he was early, people at those time would think that it was just a one-off event. But Jesus wanted to make sure that Lazarus was dead 100% so that when Jesus comes and raised him back to life, everybody will praise the Lord! That everyone would not doubt the power of God.

But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the LORD rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. -Exodus 14:13

I wanted to encourage you that when God tells you to wait, you must wait. Do not try to open doors which God meant to shut. He knows what He is doing. When you are down and out, the only thing to do is to go back up. God can bring you back to life! He knows when to do it.

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. -Isaiah 55:8

Maghintay ka sa Diyos because in His time, in His right time, He will make all things beautiful in your life. Sa tamang panahon at tamang pagkakataon, mas matamis ang bunga. God can bring you the right person, the right connection to help you achieve your goals. You must trust the timing of God. May mga bagay na hindi dapat ipinagmamadali. Dapat kakampi mo ang langit sa mga desisyon mo, lalo na sa malalaki. Mahirap ng kalagin ang mga bagay na nakatali na.

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. -Isaiah 40:31

When you’re waiting, be reminded that God is doing something better behind the scene. You may not know it, but know the God is God. He is brewing a freshly made coffee for you.
