It is easy to live life when everything has been prepared and laid out for us. Hindi na tayo nagkakaroon ng stress. But what how do we address those times when we make decisions we are not sure?
“Don, paano kung mabigo ako?”
“Paano kung magkamali ako?”
We must learn to trust God even when we don’t understand. This is what the Lord told Abraham. That he and his family should go to a place God will give him. But the problem God did not say where. Peter was the only one who walked on the water because he made a decision to step out of the boat.
When the Lord allowed Satan to mess up Job’s life, Job did not know what was going on in the heaven realms. Wala siyang alam kung ang pinag-usapan ng Diyos at ni Satanas. But he learned to understand to keep trusting God even if he doesn’t know what’s going on.
Psalms 37:23 says that the steps of the good person are ordered by the Lord…each step of your way there will be provision…each step you will be growing
Don’t let your comfort zone discourage you from trying new things simply because they are new things and you are scared to try. You never know what’s in the box until you open it. And yes there will be failures, regrets, rejections that could happen. But I like what Alibaba’s founder and billionaire, Jack Ma said: “It is easy to go back to what I was once, if this thing I will try won’t work.” He also said that: “You are poor because you have no ambition.” He applied to become a police but was rejected. Applied to KFC. There were 24 applicants. All 23 were accepted and only one was rejected. He was the only one. He applied for Harvard University, 10 x he was rejected.
When Jack Ma was starting, he invited and discussed with his 24 of his friends to join his venture and everybody told him two things: (1) He has no knowledge on the internet And (2) He has no capital for the business. Then he went on to start China’s biggest online retail business. Now, he is $28 Billion richer.
I agree with he said that there are two ingredients which are far better than abilities: Your attitude is better than your abilities. Your decisions are better than your abilities. There are many individuals who are more qualified and highly educated, but poor attitude and bad decision kept them from becoming they wanted to be.
After my graduation, I was told that I have had speech problem, and I won’t succeed due to my physical deformity. But God was so good as He gave me the opportunity to start representing in Court as a lawyer and talking in front of the High Court Judges and against big barristers and top lawyers…
More of Jack Ma, he said: “If you complain or whine once in a while, it is not a big deal. However, if it becomes habitual, it will be similar to drinking: the more you drink, the stronger the thirst. On the path to success, you will notice that the successful ones are not whiners, nor do they complain often. The world will not remember what you say, but it will certainly not forget what you have done.”
God doesn’t tell us what we can become because we may be scared and talk ourselves out of it…but I encourage you to trust God even when you don’t know
God told Joshua to cross the Jordan river…but Joshua said that river is so deep…But God told Joshua…he stepped in the unknown…In Joshua 3:14
14 The Israelites packed up and left camp. The priests carrying the chest walked in front, 15 until they came to the Jordan River. The water in the river had risen over its banks, as it often does in springtime.[d] But as soon as the feet of the priests touched the water, 16-17 the river stopped flowing, and the water started piling up at the town of Adam near Zarethan. No water flowed toward the Dead Sea, and the priests stood in the middle of the dry riverbed near Jericho while everyone else crossed over.
Imagine Joseph who was called ‘the dreamer’. In Genesis 37: Now he had still another dream, and related it to his brothers, and said, “Lo, I have had still another dream; and behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.” He related it to his father and to his brothers; and his father rebuked him and said to him, “What is this dream that you have had? Shall I and your mother and your brothers actually come to bow ourselves down before you to the ground?”
While working in the field, he told his brothers about his dream that mWe know that he was sold to slavery, accussed of beng a rapist, help into a jail. But I am sure he had the time to find his way back home. But he understood that principle that God brought him to that place of Egypt. He went to become the Prime Minister and led Egypt into many glorious years. He said to his brother: “what you meant for harm, God made it for my advantage.” God’s promise was fulfilled.
Don’t get stuck in the boat… He uses those steps to develop you and prepare you…because if you’re not prepared, how can God entrust you to another higher calling?
Remember that your character is being developed when you are coming out of the box. When people ask you a question when you’re trying new things: “what if you fail?” You must answer them: “What if you succeed?”
I used to be a porter and work like a building maintenance. But when I overheard at the other flat of the building I was working for, there were some real estate agents making presentations, it came on me that I could do better than them. I first became that developments top seller and went on to earn millions in sales. I did not know that until i started to do it.
Remember, the steps of the good person is directed by the Lord. You must take steps of faith because even when you don’t know the end but God knows. His plans for you is to give you hope, plan not to harm you but give you a better future.
