BE VERY GOOD AT WHAT YOU DO

Do you see any truly competent workers? They will serve kings rather than working for ordinary people. – Proverbs 22:29 NLT

The Bible emphasises that “truly competent workers” or employees will serve the kings, people in the high places who can pay a lot of money much more than ordinary people. An employee or someone in business should and must show excellence in his or her workmanship. Dapat pulido ka mag trabaho.

Your job is a self-portrait of yourself. It confirms you did it. You must autograph your work with utmost excellence. Pag naging ganyan ang ethics mo, hahabulin ka ng mga tao dahil alam nila your output is the reflection of yourself.

Pinili mo ang trabaho na yan, you might as well be good at it so you can demand a justified higher income or pay. Do you know that your income is a direct reflection of how much value you provide?

In the book of St Luke 16: “Whoever can be trusted with small things can also be trusted with big things. Whoever is dishonest in little things will be dishonest in big things too.” When we value our work, pag napagkatiwalaan tayo sa ating mga trabaho at ginagawa kahit maliit lang yan, the Bible is clear na pagkakatiwalaan pa tayo sa malalaking bagay. At syempre, may kasamang rewards yan.

Walk the extra mile. Jesus believed on this mantra when he said in the book of St Matthew 5:41,’ whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two‘. Bagamat maraming itinuturo aral ang mga Bible verses, but on this point, it can be applied universally to do what is required so that you gain the favor of men and of God.

In Genesis 39:4 AMP “So Joseph pleased Potiphar and found favor in his sight and he served him as his personal servant. He made Joseph overseer over his house, and he put all that he owned in Joseph’s charge.” The Lord was with Joseph and he was promoted to become the supervisor of everything Potiphar owns.

May pakinabang ba ako.?” Some people now are just paid because they are physically present pero wala naman natapos na trabaho.

It’s time to change this bad habit. Bilang isang Kristiyano, we have a big responsibility to do good in this world through our work. Everything you do is a signature of yourself, so sign it with greatness.
