“Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and you get into trouble.” Proverbs 13:20

Tama ang kasabihan: “If you tell me who your friends are, I will tell you who you are.” Some of them will soon demand your precious time, talent and treasures simply because they you allow them into your life.

On the other hand, having good friends is also one the best things that we all need especially these days where many uncertainties occur. The Bible also say:  A friend nearby is better than relatives far away. -Proverbs 27:10

Nasa Bible din: “A good tree can’t produce bad fruit; neither can a bad tree produce good fruit.” Matthew 7:18. You will know them by their ‘fruits’ Matthew 7:16. May mga tao maayos makitungo sa iyo sa simula, but the longer you stay with them, May mga tao maayos makitungo sa iyo sa simula, but the longer you stay with them, the more you see their ‘true colours’. Lalabas at lalabas ang totoo nilang kulay, so to speak. If you find that a person is not the personality you want to acquire or inherit, be ready to walk away. Let them go and do not be a part of their troubles. You don’t deserve the fools to ruin you. It would be better to be on your own, than to be with people who lack integrity.

Choose a good reputation over great riches; being held in high esteem is better than silver or gold. -Proverbs 22:1

Surround yourself with people who will lift you higher and celebrate your success and be there for you in the bad times. They will stay with you, believe in you and be there for you when nobody else wanted to. Good friends are like precious stones. Cherish and treasure those people who are ready to love you and care for you, and do not need explanation why you do what you do.
