Boldness to Dream Big Things

Alam mo ba na how you dream can determine what comes out of your life. But when you have the boldness, mataas na uri ng pananalig sa Diyos na kaya Niyang gawin ng ang mga malalaking bagay, He will turn the impossible into possible, the door of opportunities will open up, and good people you don’t know will be connected with you to be a blessing for you.

When you have the boldness to dream big things, you can see the bigness of God and the favor of God. Maraming mga biblical characters who looked at God so big that they saw big stuff. Nag-pray si Elijah na huwag umulan for three and a half years at hindi nga umulan. Joshua prayed for more daylight, and God stopped the sun for many days. Nag-pray si Elisha for protection, and the Lord made him invisible to the enemies in front of him.

Yung imposible talagang mangyari. Ganoon ka din, if you want to reach the highest peak of your life, be bold to ask for big things from God. The Bible says we must “walk by faith and not by sight.”

Jesus was asked one day to make a miracle, but He refused to do so. In the book of Mark 6:6, it says that Jesus “marveled because of their unbelief.” Take note of the word unbelief. Napa “wow” ang Panginoong Hesus dahil sa Nazareth; sa sobrang duda, sobrang hinala, sobrang walang pananampalataya ng mga tao, where there should have been many reasons to believe. Why? Because the Way Maker, healer, provider, protector, King, and Mighty God is there in front of them. What about you?

Marahil minsan ang prayers ng mga tao ay “Lord, protect me”, “Give us food to eat”, “Help us to get by daily…” Okay, naman ang mga ito, but these seem to limit what God can do. Dapat may mga prayers din tayo na sobrang laki na parang mga imposible, mga bagay na kung sa sarili mong lakas ay hindi mangyayari—these are prayers get more attention of God.

Do you believe that He can open the windows of heaven to bless you? That God can connect you to the right people? That He can heal you even though the doctor’s report says otherwise?

Many Christians pray small prayers. Small prayers get small results. Do you know that God meets us at the level of our faith? If your prayer is ordinary, you will receive an ordinary result.

In the book of St. Matthew 9:27–34 (MSG), “As Jesus left the house, he was followed by two blind men crying out, “Mercy, Son of David! Mercy on us! “When Jesus got home, the blind men went in with him. Jesus said to them, “Do you really believe I can do this?” They said, “Why, yes, Master!” He touched their eyes and said, “Become what you believe.”

We only see the instant healing of the blind in movies, not in real life. Imagine you’re that blind man who immediately received healing. In that context, Jesus asked them, “Do you really believe…” Talaga bang naniniwala ka? Dapat talagang-talaga! 100% without a doubt, na niniwala tayong may magagawa ang Diyos kahit imposible.

Why don’t you pray with boldness like this: “Lord, I know, you will allow us to buy our own house this year.”

A small prayer is like: “Lord bless n’yo po mga anak ko.” A bold prayer will be like this: “Lord, I pray na makapag-aral po ang mga anak ko, makapagtapos ng kanilang mga courses sa university, they become valuable members of our community, they become mighty in the land so they can declare the goodness of God. Sana po maging malalaking tao sila ng aming bayan at dalahin nila ang pangalan Mo Panginoon. Through them maraming tao ang mapagpapala.”

In the book of St. James, it is said, “You did not receive because you did not ask.” Maaaring hindi mo nakukuha ang “big” things or breakthroughs because you’re not asking for them.

Ang sinasabi ko are the dreams God puts in your heart. Mga pangarap na ibinigay Niya sa iyo. Alam mo yan. They’re part of your assignment on earth. Ask yourself, “Why am I here for?”

Could it be that God makes it that way so you need faith? In Hebrews 11:1 (CEV) “Faith makes us sure of what we hope for and gives us proof of what we cannot see.” Without faith, we cannot please God. It is only by faith, our confidence in God that allows Him to do the impossible.

Minsan hahayaan ng Panginoon ang mga trials and obstacles, mga balakid sa daanan natin, so that you recognise the power of God. So that you say: “Lord I cannot do this on my own, but I can do all things…because You are with me. Greater are You that is in me than he that is in the world…If You are for me, who can be against me?”

In the book of 1 Chronicles 17:23-27, naunawaan ni David ang mga pangako ng Diyos sa kanya:

LORD God, please do what you promised me and my descendants. Then you will be famous forever, and everyone will say, “The LORD All-Powerful rules Israel and is their God. My kingdom will be strong, because you are my God, and you have promised that my descendants will be kings. That’s why I have the courage to pray to you like this, even though I am only your servant. You are the LORD God, and you have made this good promise to me. Now please bless my descendants forever, and let them always be your chosen kings. You have already blessed my family, and I know you will bless us forever.

But you will see in verse 25 that his prayer was so big: “God, I have been bold enough to pray this prayer because you have spoken it over me.” Hindi siya nag pray dahil magaling sya, or matalino sya but he was bold enough to ask big things because God promised him. You can be like David. When God gave it to you, go and ask God for it.

There will always be big prayers and usually you will meet negativity:

“Hindi mo kaya yan…dahil ganito ganyan…” “be practical, be realistic…” “huwag mong yakapin ang mga bagay na hindi mo kaya…” “Anong taas naman ng tingin mo sa sarili mo! akala mo kung sino ka…”

These are the words of the enemy who likes you to remain small and afraid to rise. Tell those bashers: “If Jesus said yes, nobody can say no….all blessings shall come upon me and overtake me because I am the child of the Most High God.”

Alam ni Pastor Pakundo na malapit ng mamatay ang isda but the boy said: “Dad, can you pray for my fish, please?” Nagdalawang isip si pastor dahil alam niya mamamatay na rin ang goldfish so what’s the point of prayer. Anyway, nag pray na din sila: “Lord, please touch the fish, heal the fish, in Jesus name. Amen.” Kinabukasan, tumakbo ang bata ang sinabi: “Dad, the fish is now ok….yehey!” He said to his son: “my son, with God nothing is impossible.”

What about you? Do you still believe that your dream can happen? Or do you defeat yourself by not believing about it? What if it is not happening because you do not have boldness to ask big things from God? The Bible in St Luke 12:32 “It is your Father’s good pleasure to give you that kingdom.” The Bible also confirms that He will give you the desire of your heart, but you have to go and ask.

Go and enter His chambers to ask big things. Alam mo ang prayers ko sa buhay ko: “Lord make be big as big as you want me to become…” “Lord make my children more than me and my have achieved…”

They said that the richest land on earth is not the UK, not the USA not Canada or the Middle East – it is the cemetery. This is the place where many dreams have died with the dead. Do not leave this life with all your gifts, talents and skills with you. The saddest part is that upon knowing that God has planned for you to have greatness, wisdom, favor, increase, healing – but because you did not ask, they were not delivered – you did not claim.

Naniniwala ako na kaya ako pinalaki ng Diyos sa aking buhay is because I have the boldness to ask big things from the Lord. I was not good in English, I had a speech problem, I never had any money to pay for university but it was the hands of God that I became a qualified attorney-at-law in the United Kingdom. I passed all the bar exams and completed Masters of Law. Kaya kapag tiningnan ko ang kahapon ng aking buhay, I can say to the Lord just like King David: “who am I Lord God that you will take me this far?”

I am challenging you to remove limitations from God. Ask big things. Dream big. Dare to believe that God can turn those impossibilities into realities. Nothing is impossible with Him.

Ang kanyang nanay ay nagdasal: “Lord, I pray that my son is changed to become your servant. I know he is not in the right course now but nothing is impossible with you…Malaki na po ang nagagastos ko sa pag-aaral niya. Wala na po akong alam kong paano siya magbabago. Hipuin mo po siya Panginoon.” Itong nanay na ito ay walang tigil sa pananalangin. Araw at gabi ay ipinagdasal niya. Maraming nagsasabing hindi na magbabago ang lalaking ito but the mother kept on praying big things from the Lord.

This man is Pastor Lowell Magsino who is used by God to evangelise and preach in the United Arab of Emirates. Nakatapos siya and he used to be a Financial Accountant ng isang malaking company sa Abu Dhabi. What if she did not ask God big things? Kahit imposible at parang hindi na magbabago ang mga pangyayari, but this mother kept on going: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord…” She prayed bold prayers and God granted it.

Do not just pray small prayers about protecting your son. But along with that prayer, add this: “Panginoon, make my son a carrier of your glory and honor. Make him a big man of faith, someone who can become a valuable member of our society. Someone who can change our nation.”

If you want to become a writer, ask God to make you one of the greatest authors of all time. If you wanted to be a singer, ask God to make you the best singers and producers, composers.

In the book of 1 Chronicles 4:9-10: “Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying: “I gave birth to him in pain.” Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, saying: “Oh that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my territory! Let Your hand be with me, and keep me from the evil one.” And God granted his request.” Ganoon din tayo, I am challenging you to make the Jabez prayer for blessing part of the daily life. Yes, maaaring wala kang alam, wala kang lakas, but when you pray bold prayers because you see the bigness of God, He can move and do things beyond your imagination.

In the book of St Matthew 20, naglalakad si Hesus at nakita niya ang dalawang lalaking bulag.

Narinig yon ng Panginoon at tinanong sila: “What do you want me to do?” But the blind men said: “We want to see. We want You to open our eyes, Lord.” They were bold! Jesus touched their eyes and made them what they asked for.

Your prayer will determine what God can do. The notion: “ask and it shall be given” is true. Lord, I want to see my family serving Your kingdom. Lord, I want to have run my own business….”

Hindi sapat na nasa isip mo lang. You must ask for it. In the book of St James 1:6-8 (GNT) But when you pray, you must believe and not doubt at all. Whoever doubts is like a wave in the sea that is driven and blown about by the wind. If you are like that, unable to make up your mind and undecided in all you do, you must not think that you will receive anything from the Lord.

I remember when I was terminated by my company. They kept my money which for me was very substantial amount. We went to the labor commission to file a case but it was dismissed for lack of merits. The Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court also dismissed it. I was so down because I gave my best shot for this company but due to politics and wrongful allegations, I was dismissed. I have a letter from the company that I did not do any anomaly but it’s just they wanted to get rid of me. My mom went to ask God, big, bold prayers which was imposible. “Lord, you are the judge of the heavens which is higher than the supreme court of the earth. You said in your word that my son, Don, will recover his money from this company…” In few weeks, there was a contact from a very high personality in the Philippine politics who called me and said: “Don, I heard what happened to you. I will contact your ex company and will direct them to pay you…”

God knows the number of your hair. He knows your thoughts and your words before you speak. God wants to be good to you by showing His favor to you and your family. When you pray ask God and He will show you what He can do. He will open the locked doors of opportunities. Like David and Jabez, be bold to ask big things from the Lord. He can bless you. He can be good to you and He can give you the desires of your heart.
