Never sacrifice any of these in your life

1. Health – Walang kwenta ang yaman at tanyag ng isang tao kung sya naman ay may sakit at nakaratay sa banig ng karamdaman.

If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple. 1 Corinthians 3:17

Oo maganda nga ang malaki ang kita pero kung ang katumbas naman nito ay ang iyong kalusugan, maybe you have to understand that death is near you. Do not destroy your body or abuse your body on drugs and alcohol that destroys your body.

Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise. Proverbs 20:1

Mag-exercise regularly; drink and eat moderately with good and healthy food. Laugh and enjoy life by having a healthy lifestyle.

And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit. Ephesians 5:18

Be sure to develop interests in hobbies, sports, travel and family activities, for example. Keep your mind and body active. This will help you reduce stress.

2. Family – To many divorce lawyers, they say that one of the main reasons for family breakdown is because of too many responsibilities and stress. Kaya marami ang mag-asawahan na magkahiwalay; dahil yong isa nasa abroad at ang isa naiwan sa Pilipinas para mag-alaga. But if they are not strong enough, their marital relationship shall suffer and they will end up a broken family. It has been compromised because of the need to sustain the lifestyle.

Yung iba naman walang time sa family because ang dami ng work, kase kelangan kumita para makabayad sa mga utang at loans. Bumili ng bagong sasakyan, private schools ang mga anak, nagpagawa ng malaking bahay tapos ang daming demands ng family members. Family bonding has been compromised.

As we see in Genesis 1:28, “God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.'” God’s plan for creation was for men and women to marry and have children. A man and a woman would form a “one-flesh” union through marriage (Genesis 2:24), kasama nila ang kanilang mga anak that becomes the essential building block of human society.

Kaya minsan ang daming mga juvenile delinquencies sa ibat-ibang bansa even in the Western countries like USA, UK and Canada. Kase nag suffer ang family values because no one is available, willing and able to teach goor moral values and right conduct sa mga bata.

3. Relationship – Do not keep grudges in your heart. Forgive those wrongdoings done against you, not because you agree that what has done to you was ok, but forgive for your own sake. You deserve peace and by letting go, you allow inner peace and that relationship to start afresh. Kaya nga sabi sa Bible: “Love does not keep any record of wrong.” 

Make time to enjoy your ‘twogether’ which is exclusive for you. Dapat may time kayo palagi. Try to find things that you both love and enjoy doing. I have some clients who said: “we both love watching movies from Netflix…”

But never sacrifice your relationship for anything. Because if you fail to nurture it, it will surely die.

Even in the 10 commandments iniutos ng Diyos ang pagmamahal at paggalang sa magulang because this command has a promise – you will have a good and long life ahead. Iniiutos din ang pag-iwas sa pangangalunya – to value the sanctity of marriage.

Walang sinuman ang naghihingalo, malapit ng mamatay at nagsabi na: “sana nag spend pa ako ng maraming time sa work ko…”

4. Integrity

Never be persuaded to sacrifice your integrity because of anything else. Kung ang gagawin mo ay ikapapahamak mo, don’t do it. Learn to stand firm and what you believe because your integrity is much more important that anything.

The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity. – Proverbs 11:3

I know that you are pleased with me, for my enemy does not triumph over me. Because of my integrity you uphold me and set me in your presence forever. Proverbs 41:11-12
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8
Panatalihin ang ganda ng pagkatao. Huwag masira or masilaw sa anumang bagay na masama at ikasisira ng iglesya, ng pamilya, nag pagkatao or ng Diyos.
