Both yes and no. What most people don’t know is that once you are recognised as a refugee, you should stay in the same country, work, and build your life. It’s what I call the guilt of joy. If you have been given asylum, that doesn’t mean you should give up any of life’s pleasures. One of the best is travelling. You can learn new things and broaden your views by travelling. In my case, it really helped me get over a bad event. Meeting new, nice people from all over the world and learning about other countries has changed the way I look at life.
Going back to your home country is the only time this isn’t true. This is a big problem, and if you come back, your refugee status could be taken away. Not only that, but you shouldn’t go there because your life could be in danger back home.
