Too often, we let our environment, how we were raised, or other people’s expectations of us set the limits for our life. We adapt to what’s around us. If you take the seed of a big narra tree and plant it in a two-foot pot, that oak tree will never become what it was created to be. It’s not because there’s something wrong with the seed, but because of the environment that it’s in.

It’s easy to fit in, go with the crowd, and be like everyone else, but God didn’t create you to be average. He created you to stand out, to go beyond the norm, to leave your mark on this generation. You have seeds of greatness on the inside. You’re supposed to go further than the people who raised you. You’re supposed to live better, be more successful, and set a new standard. You may be in an environment where people have addictions, low self-esteem, depression or poverty. You can’t stop that. But here’s the key: don’t let that become normal in your thinking. If you accept that as who you are, it will keep you from your destiny.

Scripture talks about how we are in the world, but we are not of the world. You may be in a limited environment, but you don’t have to be of it. Don’t let that environment get in you. If you see struggle, lack and poverty long enough, your mind can become conditioned to think, “This is who I am. I’ll always struggle. I’ll never have enough.” No, that’s where you are, not who you are. That may be what’s been normal. The good news is that you have the power, the favor, the talent, the ability to break out, to go further! God breathed His life into you. He calls you the head and not the tail. Don’t let your mind become conditioned for mediocrity. Throw off the limits and be a barrier breaker!”Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'” (Matthew 19:26, NIV)

You’re a barrier breaker. You can defy the odds. You can beat the cancer, that disease, that addiction, that depression – you can start the new business. You can go further than the experts have told you.

We must live with the sense of urgency, take your performance to the next level. Everything that happens in your life is a reflection of a choice you have made. If you want to have a different result, you have to make a different choice.

You will be surprised that one day, your dream will come true. You have never seen your best days yet. It is coming. God is about to do something new. Get ready for God to break what’s stopping you. You are meant to succeed and carry the banner of victory. You have the DNA of a champion.

You’ve got to be hungry. Change your approach but not your decision. Don’t use the same technique because it does not work. Change your approach. Ask for help, not because you’re weak but because you want to remain strong.

The Wright Brothers made key discoveries in the field of aerodynamics enabling them to design a machine that was aerodynamically efficient enough to carry a man in the winds

Some of you will become book writers, song writers, will graduate in top universities, finish top class, will become a catalyst that can change our nation and our community. You are born to break barriers.

Expose them to things for them to see themselves and what they can become.

You have something in you to break barriers. You have to make a decision that it will require everything in me. Find something you love. Find your calling.

May I ask you this: can you bet in yourself? Can you make a promise that you’ve got what it takes? That you are made in the image of likeness of God. That you are more than a conqueror? Find and search the best version of yourself.

Take the risk of doing something you have never done before. You have to take risk if not you cannot grow. If you cannot grow you cannot become your best, if you cannot become your best, you cannot be happy. If you cannot be happy what else is there in life?
