The New Place Of Blessing

Think like a shark, act like a shark and behave like a shark. – Shark Mindset

Naniniwala ako na may mga tamang lugar where God can bless you richly. I am not saying that He cannot bless you anywhere but what I am saying there are times when God’s blessings can be found at a specific place and if we are not in the right place, we can miss what God has prepared for us.

Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, “Unless these men stay in the ship, you cannot be saved.” Acts 27:31

When God stirs the nest, start to fly away.

like an eagle that stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, that spreads its wings to catch them and carries them aloft. – Deut 32:11

In the Book of Acts, chapter 1, inutusan ng Panginoong Hesus na pumunta sa Upper Room ang 500 people and wait there to be blessed by the Holy Spirit. But in verse 15, only 120 people showed up. When the Holy Spirit came and bless them, 380 people missed this opportunity because they were not in the right place.

Minsan mapapansin mo na may mga aalisin ang Lord sa buhay mo. Mawawala ang isang tao sa buhay mo. This could be a ‘right place’ although it is sad and painful. Pwede mong isipin na dapat sana tuloy tuloy lang but because He sees the bigger picture, there are times that God will close a door and move you out. Hindi mo agad ito mauunawaan but soon you will understand that “all things worked together for good.” Because of that setbacks, it set you up for promotion, favor and increase.

Abraham had a baby with his servant, Hagar, so Sarah treated her badly. Hagar decided to leave Abraham with her son, Ismael. Then the angel of the Lord met her and called her by name. “Hagar, Sarai’s servant, where are you going and where did you come from?” (1 Samuel 16:8). Yes, God knew what she did for a living and that she was an Egyptian slave girl. He knew her name too.

She believed she knew her history, her fate, where she came from, and where she was going. But God was going to rewrite her story. There was no other way for Hagar to be saved, so God told her to go back to Abraham’s house. This wasn’t because God agreed with Sarai’s bad treatment of Hagar.

While Hagar was praying, the angel told her, “I will surely multiply your children so that they cannot be counted for multitude.” Did you get it? This was the blessing Abraham gave. This was the promise that God made to Abraham again when he made a deal with him in the chapter before the story of Hagar: that Abraham would have so many children that it would be impossible to count them all. God told Hagar to go back to serve Abraham’s family again because that is “your place of blessing.”

Minsan mahirap talaga manatili, mahirap mag stay, mahirap magpatawad sa mga taong naging masama sa iyo and you have to be good to those people who were bad to you. Noong umalis si Hagar, God could have said, “Ok Hagar wala na yong blessing na yon sa iyo dahil iniwanan mo na.” But no. God sent His angel to meet her and put her back where Hagar could share the blessings He promised to Abraham. He will not allow you to miss that wonderful thing He prepared for you!

The Bible said in Psalms 37:33 (AMP): “The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the LORD, And He delights in his way [and blesses his path].” Minsan hindi mo alam bakit may mga bagay na nangyari na hindi mo gusto, na ayaw mo, but this could be God’s way of directing your steps to the place of His blessings. The Lord knows what’s best for you. Avoid complaining, but just trust in His mighty hands to establish your walks.

When Mary was 9 months pregnant, she was living in Nazareth. God told her and Joseph to travel to Betlehem, which is 90 miles, which is about 5 days on a donkey. Imagine the difficulty for Mary. She could say, “Lord, I am blessed and will give birth to a baby God…” But Mary understood the principle that God is not making her life miserable but taking her to a place of blessings. Micah made a prophecy 700 years ago that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. Hindi isang pagkakataon lang na tumawag ng census sis Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. At the same time, the wise noble men, some believed to be kings and monarchs, went to Bethlehem, brought Jesus gifts of good and treasures, and worshipped God. If Mary and Joseph were not there, they could have missed the blessings.

I thought I was doing good in real estate sales and did not realise that God has a better plan for me. I was doing very good in selling real estates but He knows what’s best for me. I saw myself in a legal battle that caused me and my family a lot of problems. When I passed my bar exam and became a qualified attorney at law /solicitor in the United Kingdom, I remember what David said in Psalm 8:4-9 (ESV): “what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?” He brought me to my new place of blessing, I never thought possible.

Your place of blessing will not always be easy; it will not be a walk in the park; it will not be a bed of roses. There are times that you will feel like giving up, but those are tests for you to pass. Will you remain faithful, mananatili ka bang tapat na naglilingkod, nagmamahal sa Diyos?

The prophet Samuel anointed him to become the next king of Israel. After the oil was poured into his head, he stayed in the shepherd’s field. Then one day, his father Jesse told him: “David, anak, magdala ka ng pagkain sa mga kapatid mo.” David arrived at the Valley of Elah. He could say to his dad: “Bakit ako palagi inuutusan nyo, katulong ba ako?” He did no complain nor grudges. He was faithful in small things. While doing that small tasks, David heard that a giant was mocking the Israelites. There was something in his heart that God was prepared him to do, to kill Goliath. If he had not obedient in doing that small tasks in taking lunch to his brothers, he would not have found his power to defeat a goliath.

After that great event, David went back to the shepherds field. He then served King Saul inside the palace as a part-time musician. While inside the palace, God showed him the life he would have in the future. By being inside the palace, he had the opportunity to meet the staff, the protocol, the allies and the enemies of the kingdom. He had an overview of his future life.

Pinarusahan ng Diyos ang mga Israelita in the book of 1 Kings 17. Dahil sa kanilang mga kasalanan, magkakaroon ng tagtuyot sa buong bansa sa loob ng 3.5 years. Inutusan ng Lord si Elijah, “Leave this place now and go to the brook of Cherith, for I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.” Then one day, God allowed the brook of Cherith to be dried and ask Elijah to go to the city of Zarepath, “for I have commanded a widow to feed you there.” Mauunawaan mo na God wanted to feed and blessed him but in two different places.

Do not get stuck in a brook that’s dried up because you have to be where God is going to be. Leave a place where God was. He will take you in a journey. He will take you to a new place of blessing. It may not always be physical or geographical; it could be the way you think in your relationship and in your life. The grace of the Lord is “always new every morning…great is thy faithfulness.”
