BREAKING NEWS: NEW UK BORDER RULES FROM 1 OCTOBER 2021 | UK IMMIGRATION | VISA UK

Inaasahan na 1/3 ng mga EU, EEA and Swiss citizens ang pumapasok pa din sa UK mainland gamit ang kanilang EU national identity cards, sa halip na passports. But this will change from 01 October 2021, the rules regarding entry to the UK with an EU, EEA or Swiss national identity card will be different. Hanggang 30 September 2021 na lamang pwedeng gamitin ng mga EU, EEA and Swiss nationals ang kanilang mga national identity card to come to the UK. But, from Friday 01 October 2021, this will no longer be possible. Kailangan na nilang ipakita ang kanilang valid passport sa UK border. The passport need to be valid for the complete period of the traveller’s stay in the UK.

Noong 25 August 2021, nagkaroon ng amendments ang UK government sa kanilang guidance to validate that EU, EEA and Swiss citizens who applied to the EU Settlement Scheme before the 30 June 2021 cut off date, pero wala pang notice of decision, can continue to use their national identity card to come to the UK after 01 October 2021, while they are expecting an outcome on their application.

Tandaan na kung pending pa ang application mo, UK border officers will be able to verify your pending status automatically at the UK border using the documents registered, so your travel in and out of the UK will not be impacted while your application is being processed by the UK Home office.
