Honor & Love Your Father

The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after himProverbs 20:7

Ating ipinagdiriwang ngayon ang “Father’s Day” at marami sa atin na ang ating superhero ay ang ating mga ama. Let them know how proud you are and appreciative for what they have accomplished for loving your mother and for loving you and the rest of the family.

My mom once told me: “Don, anak ko, the only way you can become a great father to your children is to love their mother…” Totoo naman ito and I have been doing my best to become a great father to my kids. I want them to grow up seeing me as their rock, their confidant and friend.

Our father played a very important role in our lives even until now. They used to played with us with their corny jokes and look funny when they are with us. They used to scold us when we do something wrong, they boast with pride when we succeed and still believe in us even when we fail. They also hold our hands or tap our shoulders and assure us:  “Anak, don’t worry, everything will be alright.”

Today, we honor our dads who become our fighter and it was normal to say:

“Isusumbong kita sa tatay ko…”

because we know that our dad will become our defender and protector, and they won’t give up a fight for his children. Sila ang ating bayani at tagapangtangol. Ating parangalan ang ating mga Ama and let them know that they are valued and loved.

Blessing:

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. May the Lord give you the desires of your heart and make all your plans succeed as you walk in the power of His might. Amen and amen.
