James was born in 1874 in Ontario, Canada and was a child of Christian parents. In 1903, he bought a horse and wagon and started to sell cheese door-to-door.
Muntik na syang mabangkarote (bankuptcy) when he realised that he had left God out of his life and business. He repented and asked God to be his business partner. He began to tithe. He began to invest in the Lord’s work by sowing 25% of his income to Christian causes for many years.
As he began to tithe, God began to prosper him. The company he founded was named Kraft Cheese. In 1924, he began series of acquisitions. By 1930, Kraft had become the third largest dairy in the United States.
Kraft Foods today is the second-largest food company in the world. It has ninety-seven thousand employees and generates $40 billion revenue each year. The company’s core value is “trust”. Some of the key rules in their Code of Conduct are to make food that is safe to eat; market responsibly; treat people fairly; compete fairly; deal honestly with the government; and keep honest book and records.
